“Dot Wins the Titanium Award at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity”
World’s Top 3 Advertising Festival, and ‘CANNES LIONS’
The world’s three major advertising festivals are Clio Awards, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and New York Festivals.
In Particular, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, also known as Cannes, is also famous for the film festival.
It was first held in a city of France called Cannes in 1954, and has now become an event that encompasses the world-leading creativity beyond advertising festivals.
Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is a leading event to understand the tendencies and trends of the global business industry.
In this festival, the awards category presents the Grand Prix and the Titanium, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Lion Awards for 9 tracks.
Among them, Dot Inc. attracted attention by winning the Titanium award in June 2022 with Dot Pad.

Social Venture, Dot Inc., is an eight-year old startup that continues to grow rapidly by introducing new products and ideas such as Dot Watch, the world’s first Braille Smartwatch, in 2016, Dot Mini in 2018, Dot Braille Engine in 2020, and Dot Pad as of 2022.
Dot Inc. has been in the center of attention and we are trying to provide products and services that are useful in the daily lives of visually impaired people.
Of course, all these works couldn’t be done all by ourselves!
Dot Inc. accomplished all of this together with Service Plan, a global advertising agency, and PAULUS, a creative production team.
They highlighted how we can appeal our unique technology and service to the public and focused on what society expects from us. Through this process, we created our vision for the next stage.
Dot Pad, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 2023, is expected to give the blind and the visually impaired around the world a new and different experience.

As shown in the image above, you can see the shape of the picture you drew with your fingertips and converse with others. The Dot tactile display, which allow users to see various contents in real-time, has long been the wish of all blind and visually impaired around the world.
This Moment Can Change Everything
Through this Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, we hope more people will learn about the value of tactile images, graphics, and braille.
On September 21st, the 4th ‘SDGs FORUM 2022 X Cannes Lions’ was held at Lotte Hotel.
At the meeting, Jihyun Kang, CEO of Service Plan Korea, and Ahrum Choi, general manager of social impact of social venture Dot Inc., discussed the importance of collaborative networks between startups and advertising companies for sustainable growth.

Ahrum said that it is important for startups, agency manufacturers and partners to set a vision for the global market from a long-term perspective and create a company and product branding.
